Professor V. V. Chari received his Ph.D. from Carnegie-Mellon University in 1981. He teaches in the areas of Macroeconomics, Public Finance, and Development Economics. Professor Chari's current research includes macroeconomic theory, fiscal and monetary policy, and financial intermediation. Professor Chari holds a Paul Frenzel Land Grant Chair in Economics.   Professor V. V. Chari
