Professor Narayana Kocherlakota received his Ph.D. from The University of Chicago in 1987. He teaches in the areas of monetary economics, public finance, financial economics and macroeconomics.  His current research includes financial economics, public finance and monetary economics. He is also the Coordinating Editor of the Review of Economic Dynamics. Professor Kocherlakota is currently serving as chair of the department.
