
The Minnesota Workshop in Macroeconomic Theory is a workshop on dynamic macroeconomic theory sponsored by the National Science Foundation, the University of Minnesota and the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis. It is held on the campus of the University of Minnesota every summer in late July/early August.
The 2002 conference will last for five days, from Tuesday, July 30, through
Saturday, August 3. The schedule will be quite intense, with about 15 talks.
There will also be ample time for informal discussion among the participants.
We hope that all participants will stay the entire week.
We welcome papers in a variety of areas. Examples of topics of interest include:
We welcome papers in other areas as well. The final topics will be determined in large part by the interests of the participants. Note that while the title of the Workshop includes "Theory", investigations of data that are guided by theory are more than welcome.
The organizers for the 2001 conference are Daron Acemoglu (MIT) and Patrick Kehoe (Minneapolis Fed). If you are interested in presenting a paper, please send a copy to both of the organizers,(addresses below) by March 31. Electronic submissions will not be accepted.
