The Long Run

Remembering the Legacy of Jim Simler

With sadness the department notes the passing of two of its affiliated faculty members:

Department of Applied Economics Regents Professor Vern Ruttan brought to light many profound but hidden connections between technological and social change.

Ed Schuh was a Regents Professor in the Humphrey Institute who studied the macroeconomics of agriculture and the role it plays in the larger context of the world’s economy
