Meetings About Graduate Study
During each academic year, we try to have informational meetings for our undergraduate majors, which are held in conjunction with a regular meeting of the Economics Student Organization. The meetings give information about law schools, MBA programs, and graduate programs in Economics.
Listserv Account for Economics Majors
The department has set up a listserv account for economics majors. The address is ECON-MAJ@lists.umn.edu. It is maintained by the Economics Undergraduate Adviser (econadv@umn.edu). All economics majors are automatically members of this account. If you are an economics major and are not on this list, please let Madhu Bhat know and she can add your name. Students can hold discussions with their peers about economics and related issues. The Department puts out information about special events, seminars, talks, internships, job opportunities, university or departmental policies relating to the Economics major, and other pertinent information on this listserv. All economics majors are responsible for information relayed to them via this listserv. If you use an e-mail account that is different from your University x500 account, please make sure you forward all messages.
