Economics is a useful minor for students with a related major in management, statistics, finance, mathematics, geography, sociology, political science, history, urban studies, international relations, and other areas. Minors in Economics are available in six subfields. Each minor consists of at least 13 credits (a minimum of four courses) of upper-division course work in Economics. All courses in the minor must be taken on the A-F grading system. A grade of C or better is required in all courses in the Minor Requirements sections.

The Carlson School of Management offers a Management Minor which is open to qualified students in all UMTC colleges.
