This page provides links to the data sets I put together for the paper. See the data appendix of the paper for details. This work was funded by NSF grant SES 0136842.
The files fmcs_pos_dat, nlrb_cbp_dat, and prov_union are files that I constructed. Any uses of this data should cite my paper and my web page as the source.
The files fmcs8503 and nlrb7799 are raw data. The sources are described below. As far as I know, this web page is the only source on the internet for historical data on FMCS filings and NLRB election data. (But see www.fmcs.gov for postings of recent FMCS Form F-7 filings)
The files posted here are Stata files and SAS files. I recommend STAT/Transfer to convert these files to other formats.
Example Programs.
Program baseline_FMCS_POS.do is a Stata program that reproduces the baseline estimate with the FMCS/POS data reported in Table 3. Program baseline_NLRB_CBP.do is the program reproducing the baseline estimates with the NLRB/CBP data in Table 4.
