Below is a list of sections included in the exam from the book. Don't forget that MAIN source for the midterm is LECTURE NOTES and that there are some things that we covered in class that are not in the book.  

 

For Chapters 1 and 2 lecture notes is enough: Definition of Pareto Efficiency, Calculating simple CBA when Benefits and Costs are given.  

 

Chapter 3: All of chapter 3.  

 

Chapter 4: All of chapter 4.  

 

Chapter 5: Valuing Benefits and Costs in Efficient Secondary Markets.  

 

Chapter 6: The Basics of Discounting, Compounding and Discounting Over Multiple Years, Lomg-Lived Projects and Horizon Values. 

 

Chapter 7: Expected Value Analysis, Sensitivity Analysis, Value of Information.  

 

Chapter 8: Ex Ante Willingness To Pay: Option Price.
