First time I came to Minnesota (July 2000)
This picture was also taken in August 2000, before my classes began. I'm on the computer lab pretending as if I'm doing some serious research or something, but in fact I was just checking some silly email from my friend back in Korea. Well, my serious facial expression did convince my parents back home to think I was on to something big! And believe me, it worked!
IMF Orientation pic (August 2000)
This picture was taken in August 2000 while I was on my orientation for the Japan-IMF Fellowship program. I'm on the right hand side and the other two are my two colleagues from the fellowship program Seung, and Hong Leng. You can see one with same background on my 3rd year pictures.
We also had some fun at the Lake Minnetonka, located west of Minneapolis. We had a fun boat ride and some futile efforts at fishing. People in the picture are (from left to right) Alice, Oksana, me, Mark and Fanchang.
