My 2nd house in St.Paul (a.k.a 'Almost Wisconsin' house) (October 2001)

Okay, this pic was taken in October 2001, when I was hosting this "Open House Party" for Korean grad students in the Econ Department. Yes, this is my humble adobe and you can see the wonderful Minnesota fall outside the window.  Also, in the computer screen, you can see my parents, my brother and his wife... vaguely.

And this was taken from the other side of my house. I am standing in my kitchen.  On the fridge, you can see my meager collection of postcards and magnets from places I've been to since I came here (so far Chicago, Washington D.C. and San Francisco)

Independence Day Barbeque (July 2002)

See how Americanized I’ve become? I’m having BBQ party for the Independence Day and look at the heart-clogging meat at the grill. They were good though. We had the part at the Como Student Housing with lots of Spanish speaking friends, and those on the pictures are, Felipe, Luis, and Julián. I also brought some nice dog, I mean, beef bulgogi, (or was it?) and they all loved it. Here’s my promotion video.

Minneapolis skyline (August 2002)

This pic was taken at the Boom Island Park during the Minnesota Macroeconomic Conference 2002. I personally like the Minneapolis skyline although there’s nothing much going on in downtown.

Blue sky pic

This was taken during the summer of 2002. I think I was on my way back to school in the afternoon and took out my new digital camera (Canon PowerShot S200) and took the picture. The picture actually turned out pretty good.

Leaning Tree of Minneapolis

Just to give you an idea of how Minnesota spring looks like… I think this was taken in mid April when we had some huge mass of snow one day. See how even the tree couldn’t take the load and leans like the Leaning Tower of Pisa? By the way, this pic was provided courtesy of our good classmate Suqin Ge.

Minneapolis Downtown at dawn

This was taken from our office at Heller Hall. Shows the downtown and the Metrodome….
